Our District Wide PLC Protocols provide educators with the tools they need to:

• Begin instruction with a standard in mind;
• Contemplate resources needed to gradually release students to independence;
• Imbed literacy practices into all content areas;
• Determine what literacy, science, math, and social studies concepts that are embedded in each State Standard;
• Identify the key knowledge and reminders that are embedded in the interpretation section of our resource guides;
• Target the objective(s) that must be taught, the order in which they are taught, and why;
• Focus on specific academic language that must be taught before teachers model for students, and how that academic language must be taught and assessed; and
• Leverage our graphic organizers to support students’ conceptual understanding.
